Animal Science Department hosts livestock judging camp Ninety students participated in this year's camp, which was held June 8-10. In addition to awards presented, two scholarships to attend UA and major in animal science were awarded.

Intercollegiate Livestock Judging Team Completes Another Successful YearThe U of A Intercollegiate Livestock Judging Team began the 2008 year with a trip to Phoenix, where some members also toured the Grand Canyon. The team finished as the Reserve Champion team of the Arizona National. They also traveled to Texas, Mississippi and Kentucky. Judging for fall 2008 took the team members to Texas, Minnesota, Oklahoma and Kentucky.
John Frank Pendergrass receives "friend of the department" award for his service to the UA Department of Animal Science John Frank Pendergrass, president of Pendergrass Cattle Company and also Pendergrass Investment Company, was presented the "friend of the department" award by Dr. Keith Lusby, head of Animal Science Department at the University of Arkansas, during the Arkansas Cattlemen's Convention in Springdale.
