Animal Science undergraduate students Stephanie McKenna and Caitlin Barnett presented a poster at the North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture (NACTA) Conference, held at OSU in Stillwater, OK, in June.
The poster illustrated the creation and implementation of a manual titled "A Survival Guide for Behavior and Training TAs." McKenna and Barnett participated in production of the manual as part of an Equine Science Special Problems course in ANSC.
The students were given a tour of the OSU large and small animal veterinarian facilities by fourth-year vet student, Bradley Youngblood, who graduated from UA in ANSC. They also toured the famous Lazy E and Halvorson Ranches in OK.
North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture (NACTA) is a professional society that focuses on the scholarship of teaching and learning agriculture and related disciplines at the postsecondary level. Members of NACTA are from two-year and four-year colleges, public and private.
