Livestock Judging Coach:  Bryan Kutz / 479-575-4337

Livestock 2005Livestock judging is a senior college competition that consists of 12 classes and 8 sets of oral reasons. Classes are divided equally into the 3 species of sheep, cattle and hogs. Each class consists of 4 individual animals that the student must evaluate by placing in order of best to worse, and be able  to communicate why they placed them in that order. In 2005 they traveled to 'The Arizona National' in Phoenix where they placed third and 'The Nat'l Western' in Denver, where they were the champion car-load team. Other competitions they participated in were held in Fort Worth, Jackson, MS, San Antonio, Houston and Martin, TN, where they continued to place well.  The team can be considered one of the top five teams in the nation and produced two All-American team members (Jeremy Huff, Lauren Gaston) out of ten selected.
