Research Emphasis

• Management and nutrition of stocker cattle grazing on winter-annual pasture and warm-season pasture with particular interests in stocking rate, forage species and mineral nutrition. Currently conducts research at the Southwest Research and Extension Center in Hope, Southeast Research & Extension Center in Monticello and the Livestock and Forestry Branch Station in Batesville.

Activities

• Regional Editor in the United States, Journal of Animal and Veterinary Advances
• Serves as Chairperson of the annual Arkansas Cattle Growers’ Conference Planning Committee
• Also organizes and executes the Cow/Calf Management Invitational meetings normally held bi-annually (fall and spring).
